规则
Thanks for participating in the Gamenex Pro League! Please read through our rules and make sure you're familiar with them before starting to play! By signing up you confirm that you have agreed to those rules and follow them to the best of your ability.
1. Contacting An Admin
If you need any help during the league, please check out the internal Lobby chat on the website. The league operations team will be available during league operations time.
2. Joining & Qualification
To be able to join the Pro League you need to qualify for it. Qualification works through the official Age of Empires II: DE ranked ladder or partnered community tournaments. More information can be found in our qualification help article.
Members of the Gamenex team are not eligible to play in the Gamenex Pro League.
3. Player- & team names
Pro League members need to use names which are in-line with the Gamenex Code of Conduct. If a player directly advertises a brand within their name, they have to make sure that the advertised partner is not in direct competition with partners of the Gamenex Pro League.
4. Game Version
- All matches played are to be played on the latest game version.
- If your game is not up to date and you are delayed due to it, your opponent may receive a default win for the match you were supposed to play. Please make sure your game is updated before you join the queue.
- If a game update is released during an active gameday, the new version of the game will be played out. All running matches will be played out on the old version.
5. Seeding
Seeding is determined by the Gamenex Pro League current ladder elo. Every player starts with a base 1,000 points at the start of every month. Official ranked ladder or ATP rankings do not have any effect.
6. Game Specific Information
Game specific information, such as the available maps for the current ladder or available civilizations, as well as the draft order for each respectively, can be found on the ladder overview page.
If not provided otherwise, Gamenex Pro League draft rules are:
- Maps - Home Ban / Guest Ban / Home Ban / Guest Ban / Home Ban / Guest Ban, the remaining map is played
- Civilizations - Home Ban / Guest Ban / Home Ban / Guest Ban / Home Ban / Guest Ban, the remaining civilizations are available
The Gamenex Pro League changes the map pool on a monthly rotating basis with known and tested maps from the community in addition to having a base set of known maps from the official game.
7. Scheduling & Queue
The queue will be available during pre-scheduled times. These times will be available in the overview page of the league. Once the scheduled playtime opens, you will be able to join the queue from the Ladder Lobby. You can only access this lobby if you are registered and part of the league.
The queue is designed in a way to gradually match players of the same skillset against each other within a 10 minute window, when everybody of the ladder will be included.
8. Playing A Match
When the match is ready, you will receive a notification on the website and you will need to accept the match. Regulary not accepting a match after it was found to dodge an opponent ("Dodging") will lead to league punishment and penalty points will be issued.
Once match setup has concluded and potential drafts have taken place, the captain of the home team (left side) is required to create the game lobby.
Every game is hidden pick no repeat when it comes to civilizations: Each player can choose one of their drafted civilizations that hasn't been played in the set beforehand. If the draft did not have any picks, all of the remaining civilizations from the drafting pool are available.
The results of the games should be automatically tracked and updated for each set. If for whatever reason the automated score tracking fails, please contact the league operations team. (Usually happens during a crash/restart).
9. Game Settings

When creating the lobby, please make sure to check the same options as in the screenshots. The server should be discussed and chosen between the players to the fairest available. In case no compromise is being reached, please contact an admin.
Please make sure to enable 2 minute spectator delay, set the game to public and set the proper time limit. Matches which can not be tracked due to a wrongly configured lobby will not be counted.
Both teams are responsible for checking the game settings before starting the game. Games played on a wrong setting can not be disputed afterwards.
10. Game Rules
Breaks: Players are expected to start their matches within 5 minutes after the draft has ended. Players are not supposed to be queue if they can not instantly start after their draft, no breaks during a match.
Pausing: Players are allowed 2 pauses each per game with a time limit of ~2 minutes, if a player needs to pause for longer it requires league operations permission. Players are required to confirm with their opponent before unpausing.
Laming: No rules against laming, except for Nomad-start maps (see below).
Slinging: Slinging is not allowed until the Imperial Age
Nomad (start without a Town Center): for the first 3 in-game minutes
-
Players may steal but not attack enemy herdables
-
Players may not wall-in enemy units or buildings
-
Players may not build their first Town Center within firing range of an opponent’s Town Center (if that happens unintentionally, the game is to be restarted)
-
Players may not lame wild animals; it is only considered laming if less than 35 food is taken from the carcass (for foxes, if the villager doesn’t take all the gold possible).
Wrong Civilization: If an ineligible civilization has been picked by a player, the respective player will receive a default loss (admin loss). There will be no restarts. Please contact the league operations team to get the lobby closed.
Wrong Settings: Both teams are required to check the game lobby settings before the league match starts. If the wrong settings were used, disputes of a match caused by an advantage due to wrong settings are void and the match will be counted as-played. Repeatedly using wrong settings may lead to punishment and penalty points.
Wrong Map Generations: As there are hundreds of games played on the ladder, map generations are generally not restarted unless they define a major impact in the game. Major wrong generations include:
- Missing or trapped scout, villager or any other initially spawned player unit
- Missing piles of main gold or stone
Missing boars or herdables are not considered a major impact in a ladder based setting due to the amount of games played and are therefore to be played out.
11. Disputes
- Any disputes for a game have to be made within 10 minutes after the game was finished.
- The dispute does not have to be completely written out at this point, but has to be formalized towards a league operations admin. Within 12 hours, a full dispute has to be submitted.
- Disputes sent later than 10 minutes or rendered void by game rules above will not be accepted.
- Any disputes need to be made with one of the Gamenex league operations team. Any communication is to be treated as private. Releasing communication will be punished with Penalty Points.
12. Admin Decisions
Players are responsible to contact the league operations team in case of a breach of rules or other issues. If for any reason the league operations team cannot be reached, players should continue to play and wait as appropriate. An admin will follow up as soon as possible, and this may result in outcomes being reviewed or reversed if deemed necessary. Admins may restart a game at any time under any circumstance if deemed necessary for the flow and fairness of the game. All rulings by the league operations are final.
13. Sportsmanship
All players are expected to show good sportsmanship and be respectful of all other parties at all times. Any behavior that that includes but is not limited to insults, racism, sexism, bad sportsmanship, and excessive use of aggressive or disrespectful language is not tolerated. This also includes any usernames, teams names, descriptions or other user generated content.
Competitive banter is welcome - just make sure its not personal! We are all here to enjoy the game together.
Any instances of misconduct or harassment should immediately be brought to the attention of the league operations team. All types of competition manipulation hindering competition integrity will not be tolerated.
14. Disconnects & Technical Issues
In the case of a game crash or de-synchronization, an admin will assess the situation and decide whether the game should be restored or restarted.
In either case, players must exit the game without revealing the map and are not permitted to go back and watch the recording before re-hosting.
After a restart, civilizations and colors must remain the same.
Repeated technical issues are the responsibility of the player. Intentional disconnections to avoid a loss will result in a forfeit.
If a player disconnects/drops they have 5 minutes to reconnect. If they are unable to appear in a lobby and ready up for a restart or restore within 5 minutes of the disconnect/drop they forfeit the remainder of the match.
15. Cheating & Exploits
Intentionally utilizing any bugs, glitches, or errors in the game is not allowed. In instances where bugs are utilized, the league operations team will decide whether the match should be restarted, replayed, or forfeited. This could lead to disqualification and/or a ban from future events. Macros, defined as external software or applications that emulate the use of multiple keys by using only one, are prohibited. Graphical mods available in the mod center are allowed. Players should contact the league operations team for any uncertainty about what is considered an exploit.
